With Halloween out of the way, the rest of the year makes for what many consider to be the most festive, joyous time of the year. Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and with it Black Friday, and then the winter season is upon us. Get your house deep-cleaned before the relatives arrive with a limited-time $20 discount on select packages. Also, here are some of our favorite recipes for the November season – hope you try them out!
Beet Salad with Tangerines – This looks oh-so-good and utilizes something we don’t see too often – orange beets. Sure, you might need to visit Whole Foods for the ingredient list, but why not make Thanksgiving extra special for your mother-in-law?
Creamy Carrot Soup with Scallions & Poppy Seeds – Don’t be alarmed by the poppy seeds – they actually are safe and impart a really cool flavor. Nothing beats a nice bowl of soup on a cold winter day.
Comfort Me with Pears – Nothing warms things up better than some alcohol, right? This looks so good – and would provide that unique, memorable taste that makes it better than the more traditional (and frankly boring) cocktails.
Bourbon Coolers – Maybe not everything has to warm you up. Here is a really interesting drink made with bourbon.
Dumpling Squash with Cream and Sage – Chances are when you make this dish it won’t look at beautiful as Martha’s, but we’re sure it will taste just as good. We are hopeful to see food-replication technology in our lifetime 🙂
Butternut Squash Bread Pudding – A bread pudding that is sort of healthy? Sign me up!
Fried Green Beans & Shallot Rings – Need we say more? What a cool idea and such an interesting twist on finger foods!
