Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice: 3 Amazing Potpourri Recipes for Fall

Every season has its own characteristic scents, but the scents of fall have that something that make everyone feel warm and calm.

Nowadays, there are countless brands in the market that offer artificial scents with very practical diffusers. However many have been shown to be a hazard to our health due to added chemicals and substances. Fortunately, there is a way of enjoying a fragrant home without compromising your health.

Check out these amazing potpourri recipes and try them out at home this Fall:

1. Apple, Cinnamon & Orange

This mix is an old time favorite scent during Autumn and the best of all is that you can also drink it!

Dice 3 apples and 3 oranges and set aside. In a large bowl, bring water to boil and put the fruit in. Throw in three cinnamon sticks and 5 or 6 cloves. Cook for about 25 minutes or until the fruit becomes soft and enjoy the smell and taste!

For a change, you can also throw in guava fruit in pieces and/or Mexican hawthorn.

2. Cranberry, Orange & Rosemary

Bring water to a boil in a large casserole and throw in sliced orange, fresh cranberry fruit and a couple of rosemary leaves. Put it in low flame and wait until the scent fills every corner of your house and enjoy.

This can also be enjoyed as a tea. You can sweeten it with a little bit of honey and eat the fruit as well. Nothing in this potpourri goes to waste!

3. Coffee & Vanilla

Place a one or two fistfuls of roasted coffee beans in a small plate along with a vanilla scented candle. It makes a beautiful decoration and it smells incredibly nice.
