5 Energizing Tips for Exhausted Moms (that everyone can benefit from following)

House Cleaning Services | Weekend Maids

One of the most rewarding but exhausting jobs anyone can ever have is being a mom. It’s a job you start the very first day of conception and ends… well, basically never. Although it is one of the most wonderful experiences in life there are times when things can get difficult.

Fortunately, there are several things all moms can do to have more energy to overcome those difficult days. Check out these tips:

  1. Eat protein in the morning

Eating protein in the morning gives you the energy you need without dozing away for the rest of the morning, which would happen if you have a sugary breakfast.

Remember that protein doesn’t necessarily mean meat; you can also eat a fistful of assorted nuts, or eat a cup of lentils with the rice of your preference. The combination of these two make an amazing protein source, but we suggest you stay away from sticky rice because is high on sugars; try brown rice or basmati instead.

  1. Create a sleep routine

It might be difficult at first but nothing that perseverance can’t do. You can start by making small changes like dimming down all the lights in your house at 7 pm to let your kid’s mind wind down and turn off your mobile devices.

  1. Find time to exercise

Many may think that exercising and being a mom don’t go hand in hand, but in fact, they do! You can either find a time in the morning and go for a walk/run with the stroller (which we know can add a significant difficulty grade), find exercise routines on youtube and exercise at home while your kid is playing or taking a nap, get a membership at a gym that has play areas for kids, or even sign up for parent-baby yoga classes.

Exercise is one of the best ways to boost up your energy and can do wonders to your performance during the day.

  1. Take as many naps as you can

Make it a rule, take naps whenever your baby takes a nap. Maybe it’s not going to be possible every day or at every single nap your baby takes, but this will give you extra time to rest, will improve your health and your mood.

Remember that you are important, if you’re not well, your baby will feel it too. The most important thing is that you feel well, the house can wait, laundry can wait, food can wait and so can everyone else. It’s ok to be selfish once in awhile.

  1.  Hire a maid

Thinking that you can take care of every single detail in the house is not only stressful and energy draining. Taking care of your baby and yourself is hard enough to also clean the house on top of everything.
The best you can do is hire a professional house cleaner, this will give you time to focus on more important things such as doing a little bit of exercise, cooking a healthy meal, spending quality time with your baby or taking a nap, all of which will give you more energy to make your job a little bit easier.
