3 Tips to Speed Up Your House Cleaning

Time is always an important factor to consider when cleaning a home. With the many activities to do during a day (work, family, friends, and taking care of yourself), cleaning oftentimes is a chore that everyone wants to finish as fast as possible, for as soon as you get it done, you will have more time to continue enjoying your time and distributing it as you, please.

Cleaning is a must if you want to enjoy a healthy and organized life. However, you don’t have to lose your precious weekend to house cleaning as there are ways you can speed it up. Here are three tips to do it.

Tip# 1: Follow instructions on your cleaning products

One common mistake most people make is buying products that promise easy cleaning and then not properly following instructions on the back (e.g. tile cleaners).  Normally these types of products need to stay over the surface you want to clean for at least 10 minutes so that the solution can dissolve stains. But sometimes people don’t want to wait this long and start scrubbing the tiles right away. This will only lead to a partially clean area. People then get tired and frustrated because the product is not achieving the desired results and then more time is required to clean the area properly.

Instead, follow the instructions on the bottle, and while you’re waiting jump into another chore, let’s say, doing laundry and folding clothes.

Tip #2: Clean windows on cloudy days

Although summer days are perfect for house cleaning, you will get better results on your windows if you clean them during a cloudy. This is mainly because the solution or water with which you’re cleaning your windows will dry out on the window a few seconds after applying it if the sun is shining directly or if the weather is too hot, and it won’t give you the time to properly clean it.

Try cleaning your windows when the weather outside is cooler or cloudy to get better results.

Tip #3: Have your dishwasher do its work

Many people pre-wash their dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Instead of doing the job of your dishwasher, just remove excess food from your plates and place them in the dishwasher. Let it do its job, and forget about washing dishes. If your dishwasher has a filter to catch larger food debris, then make sure to clean that out regularly. A lot of water is wasted when we rinse the dishes before putting them into the dishwasher.

Cleaning is always time-consuming and few, if any, people enjoy doing it.
