3 Healthy Snack Recipes for Weight Loss

It is of no surprise that with Summer around the corner, we all start hitting the gym and switching hot chocolate for a healthy smoothie because, let’s face it, we all want to look like David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson in Baywatch when we go to the beach. We’re here to help.

Check out these healthy snacks that, along with a moderate but constant exercise routine, will help you either lose or maintain your weight.

1. Blueberry Yogurt Bites

This one is super easy. You will need 1 cup of Greek natural yogurt, 2 teaspoons of sugar (optional), and 2 cups of blueberries.

Mix the yogurt with the sugar very well and then add the blueberries and mix until they’re covered. Place them in a tray and put them in the freezer for an hour or until they’re frozen. After that, they’re ready to eat. You can also use maple syrup or honey as a sugar substitute.

2. Protein Bites

You will need 1 cup of almonds, 1 cup of peanuts, 1 cup of cashews, 1 cup of pitted dates, ½ cup of sesame seeds, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 1 cup of dried shredded coconut, ½ cup of linseed, ½ cup of chia seed, 1 tablespoon of matcha, 1 tablespoon of vanilla.

Roast all the nuts and sesame seeds, add them to the blender along with the cocoa powder, linseed, chia seeds, matcha, vanilla, and pitted dates, and blend until they make a soft paste. After that, start making small bite-size balls with your hands and coat them with dried shredded coconut or cocoa powder.

3. Chili-lime Roasted Chickpeas

2 cans of chickpeas, drained, and dry, 2 teaspoons of paprika, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons of lime juice, salt to taste, 2 teaspoons of cumin, ½ cup of chopped fresh cilantro.

Spread the chickpeas in a previously oiled baking tray. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Bake the chickpeas for 40 minutes and stir them every 15 to 20 minutes until they’re crunchy.

In the meantime, combine the paprika, olive oil, lime juice, cumin, and salt in a bowl and whisk until they’re completely mixed. Let the chickpeas cool down for a bit and pour them into the mixture. Stir until they’re fully coated in the mixture and enjoy!

We hope you enjoy these recipes, and remember that the key to good health is to have a varied healthy diet and to exercise regularly. Having a clean home adds to your peace of mind and can motivate you to get out of the house for exercise.
