Valentine’s Day Planning and Coupons

Each Valentine’s Day we are lucky enough to be part of impressive planning activities by our customers. Some go way over the top to impress their significant others with lavish gifts, ornate decorations, and quick getaways. If we are involved in some way it has to do with house cleaning before and/or after the big day. Sometimes customers will plan something special weeks in advance. Our office staff gets great ideas when they speak with customers about their plans. Our little contribution to the whole affair is simply to set up a house cleaning. If ever there was a piece of advice we could offer anyone considering a plan for something special this Valentine’s Day it could be to plan ahead. Rather than cite websites offering ideas for Valentine’s Day, we wanted to offer direct examples from customers who have shared their plans with us:

• One customer is baking a cake (for the first time) for his girlfriend. He does not anticipate it will go well but is hopeful the effort will be enough to win him accolades. Personally speaking I would be much more comfortable buying one of those delectable offerings from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
• Another customer is buying his wife a bunch of make-up (fancy lipsticks, foundation, etc.), packaging it up in a heart-shaped canister and presenting it as a gift.
• One customer is cooking her husband a super fancy dinner. She admitted to us that she makes a huge mess when she cooks and did not want to be bothered with the clean up. Of course that is why she called us to set up a house cleaning right after she plans to wrap up her cooking extravaganza.
• One customer has planned a getaway to Palm Springs for the weekend. Fortunately Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday so the timing could not be better. He has set up a housecleaning for Friday morning itself so that the house is completely clean when they return.
• Finally, and obviously this one is my favorite and best represents the majority of Valentine’s Day-related calls to us: customers by and large call us to set up deep house cleanings. Some go for the all-day clean up of everything while others go for the surface cleaning to take care of the major traffic areas. Regardless we are always happy to oblige.
