5 Natural Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Solutions

1. All Purpose Cleaner
Mix 1 liter of hot water, ¼ cup of white vinegar, 2 tbsp. of baking soda and a few drops of tea tree, orange, lavender or lemon essential oils, stir and let cool before using.
2. Window Cleaner
Add 1 ½ cup of white vinegar, ½ cup of distilled water and 10 drops of lime or grapefruit oil into a 16-ounce spray bottle and stir before cleaning.
3. Laundry Detergent
Shave 3 coconut-based soap bars and add 6 cups of baking soda crystals into a bowl, thoroughly stir together. Add 3 tablespoons of the mixture and add 5 to 7 drops of your favorite essential oil per load.
4. Stain Remover
Sprinkle baking soda over the stain and wait 3 minutes, then mix 1 tbsp. of vinegar, 2 cups of warm water and 1 tbsp. of dish soap, sponge on the carpet or stained surface and rub until the stain is removed.
5. Wood Polish
Combine 1 tbsp. of olive oil, the juice of 1 lemon and 1 tbsp of water; shake and pour into a soft cloth to wipe clean wood surfaces.
