3 Natural Ways to Get Rid of Mold

Mold can be very resilient and hard to remove and if you let it spread out in any area of your home it can present a serious hazard to you and your family. Fortunately, there are non-toxic solutions you can use to get rid of mold in a natural way. Here are three recipes you can use:

1. Vinegar

Spray on and scrub or apply directly with a cloth and scrub the surfaces where mold is growing or is already spread out. For the final touch mix ½ tablespoon of baking soda and a cup of water give it a final scrub with this solution and rinse with water. Baking soda will disinfect it and prevent the mold from returning.

2. Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil is an antifungal and antibacterial, these natural properties will kill the mold in your home and prevent it from returning.

The best way to apply it is to apply it directly to the area and let it work for a few minutes, you can rinse the area with water afterward to remove all remaining mold. There is no need to scrub this with baking soda, but if you want to reinforce it with it, you are welcome to do it.

3. Hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is great for removing mold, mix one teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide with one cup of water and put it in a spray bottle. Apply it to the surface and let it work for 15 minutes.

After these 15 minutes have passed, wipe it off with a cloth with more hydrogen peroxide and then use the baking soda mixture to remove any remaining mold.
